Ray Peters - Trials Fundamentals

This course will discuss the 8 Fundamental Skills of riding a Trials Motorcycle. This course has a mix of content filmed from the Ray Peters clinic at Gwyn Motorsports in North Carolina on Feb 22 & 23, 2025 as well as interviews with Ray and Tom and some individual private coaching sessions. Additional instructors include Chris and Abigail Buzzelli.

Wheelie Progression

This is a full, A to Z, Trials Wheelie Progression Course. Regardless of your current skill level, we will cover all the fundamentals needed to execute a wheelie. We will start with drills such as clutch control before you ever even pull your first wheelie. You'll work through drills and action steps to become confident and comfortable riding at the balance point and use the rear brake to bring it back down safely. You will learn to place your front wheel accurately onto an elevated obstacle which is a vital skill in obstacle riding. You will leverage those skills to learn floater turns and even hopping on the back wheel. The advanced lessons include USA Pro rider Sam Fastle as a special guest instructor.

Learn to Zap

This will be a full A to Z course on how to Zap obstacles with 18 lessons. We will start with an overview and then go through developing all the needed skills to successfully learn to Zap. This will include the most common mistakes when learning and how to overcome those challenges. Pro Rider Sam Fastle will be instructing as well as supplementary drills and lessons from Tom Trantow.

Learn to Front Wheel Hop & Suspension Tuning

The Learn to Front Hop Course is a fully comprehensive, start from scratch, step-by-step, methodical and well structured process to get you hopping. It is the most in-depth guide to front hops you can find. Teaching and drilling all the "micro-skills" needed to accomplish front hops. You will be traveling at your own pace down a very well lit path of skill development with a coach to guide you along the way. Suspension Tuning allows you to follow a straight forward guide to breaking down the process of fine turning your suspension to your specific rider weight and preferences. Partnering with Stu Preston, we discuss why suspension is important to optimize and how it enables you to learn skills faster. For example, hopping and unload moves are dramatically easier if the suspension is properly set and balanced front to back.

Learn to Nose Wheelie

Learn to Nose Wheelie with Sam Fastle. This mini course will teach you the basics of a nose wheelie, help you overcome common mistakes, and teach you to hop the rear wheel to the side. We also cover static rear wheel hops, full bike hops and thoughts on using these in a section.

Cambered Turns

This mini course is all about improving your turning technique. We start with basic turns on flat ground and then move into turning inside boundaries. Next, we cover turning on a gentle hillside as well as more steep inclines. We cover why riders so often fall to the inside as well as common issues like pushing or washing out the front tire. We spend time going through proper body position, clutch and throttle control drills and find solutions for the most common issues causing riders to dab to the inside.
